We bid farewell...

Chief Inspector Foo of USJ 8 police station passed away suddenly last night. When the police station informed me of the news, I went straight to Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya together with my husband. Community leaders from USJ Residents Association and SJ Alert were also present. In these 9 months as the State Assemblyman for Subang Jaya, Chief Inspector Foo gave his utmost cooperation and he was always responsive to my calls and sms. I am very saddened by his passing and this is a great loss to the people of USJ.

Below is an article taken from http://www.usj.com.my/ forum:

Tonight we received a very sad and shocking news that our top cop in charge of the USJ8 Police Station Tuan Foo just passed away in the course of duty during a raid. We have not got full details but we shall keep the residents informed. Tuan Foo is a real fine officer whom many of us have had the pleasure of working with since he came on board to take charge of the USJ 8 Police Station. Ever since he came on board, he has been trying his best to look after the safety of USJ residents. He had worked closely with us even when trying to resolve the problem of the mother who had used her children to beg on the streets. He was also instrumental in making USJ being one of the first police district to kick off the Community Policing. Tuan Foo is survived by his wife and a child of 2 years. We are really, really sad to have lost such a fine police officer and a dear friend who cared very much for the community. I would like to take the initiative to kick off a donation drive, which will be given to the family as a token of appreciation for his care and concern to the people of USJ. Those who wish to join me to donate to the family, may bank into my usual account in the name of TAN LIONG LAI. Maybank account no. 112482081436. As always, I shall account for the amount collected on one of the threads on the Forum. May you rest in peace Tuan Foo. It was a pleasure and honour to have worked with you.
