Millennium Park

The much awaited demolition work at Millennium Park has finally started! I have been pushing for the site to be cleared and to be restored as a green area since taking office last year. MPSJ will begin planting trees once the site is cleared. Days of 'white elephant' projects are over and Subang Jaya residents have seen enough of wastage of taxpayers' funds in the past!

Let's start planting the trees MPSJ pledged to put in (not shrubs pls)...
Shud be tall forest trees like Jati, Merbau, Sentang and not some silly fruit tree

Let's make Millennium Park a Taman Rimba...

I pledge to sponsor 3 trees!!

Welldone Hannah,

Ya, the Millennium Park is a waste of taxpayers money. We do hope that you and your colleagues can put a stop to these wastages. A green park is nice but I must say that the area is small. Is there anyway, park of the land could be use to help traffic flow to lessen the traffic jam at the round-about?

Finally is to be taken down! It shouldn't be there at the 1st place. MPSJ should plant trees instead.

Just curious, which idiot was responsible for its construction in the first place? The previous State govt headed by "Toyol" I supposed.

MPSJ taking more the 9 months to do work! So typical of them.

DOWN WITH YDP!!! WE WANT HIS HEAD!!!

Hear, hear! I agree with Anonymous about planting forest trees, even preferably with overstory, canopy, and understory layers. "Proper" trees (NOT PALMS!) will automatically cool the area down. My vote is for raintrees or a striking Flame of the Forest tree, which will be a landmark in the area when it matures.

Well Done YB. Keep it up

Just noticed...SJ ECHO is running an online poll to get public opinion on what should be done to Millennium Park. Check it out www.sjecho.com.my

Hi Hannah,
Another powerful reason why power must be returned to the people who pay taxes.

Come on, BN, bring back local elections. You're the tuan that is afraid of your people?

BN, seemingly so powerful but yet so frightened?

Correct me if I am wrong but the Millennium Park was constructed during the time of the current Mayor of KL. So KL to get a Millennium Park soon?

- Collateral Damage -

Dear Hannah,

I am a resident of Bkt.Lanjan. It is with deep regret that we loose the services of Ms.Wong. I would like to offer my advice to you to always be cautious when dealing with people, even within the Pakatan or your own party. I do not want to see another one of the best bright young YB bite the dust. Regards Bandar Utama resident.

agree with you YB. what a waste. from a green park to playground to this "stonehenge white elephant".

Lets make it a BN Memorial. Have a statue of a upside down dacing in the middle of the park and an inscription that says;
"To the loving memory of a tyrant, a robber and oppresor who built upon this land from funds stolen from the public."

Where is MACC in all this?

Sigh.. first they build it then they demolished it, a total waste of RM 3 million plus change. In my opinion, at least the existing building should be converted to something useful rather than flatten it to the ground. Yes the building was an irresponsible idea, but to demolish it is definitely wasteful as we cannot recover the taxpayer's money.

YB,

You are an angel to us Subang folks. I am voting for you for the next 3 elections!!! Make sure you stand ok???

Hi Hannah, this is abit off this topic but just to get few mins of your attention.
This is regarding the 'from bad to worst traffic condition' along the stretch of Jln Tujuan (the traffic junction from USJ4-near Casablanca coffeeshop till SS19-near Parkway coffeeshop)during morning peak 7-8am.
As I travel daily, I found out that sometimes just few mins drive of that stretch can takes up to about 30mins or more.
Do you see any solutions in sight?

Well done YB! I hope that the trees planted would be those that are low in maintenance.MPSJ's Jabatan Taman should be in the know. BTW, who is monitoring the demolition to ensure all foundation are removed - without which the trees would not grow properly?

Dear YB Hannah,
You have done very well for the people of subang, you have really taken care of them. I just wonder whether you can spare some times to involve yourself at a higher level national issue just like what you have talk during the last election. Don't you angry at the event at the Parliament yesterday??Make your stand clear on this issue at least on your blog before they say the same thing to you.

Regards

Chan KY

Good Job! Hannah.

I hope they can expedite the job by putting up a dateline/timeline for it; else the job will be continued to be delayed as usual. Government mah...

Lastly, I agree more forest trees pls... Subang definitely need a lot of that as the traffic pollution is the worst of the worst here in the world.

Cheers! Hannah.

I have stayed in SJ all my life and always wondered why the tax payer money was used to build this stupid- nonsense millennium park in the first place.

Keep up the good work YB. You have our support.

The fellow who wasted RM 3 million of our money (despite all our protestations) got promoted and is now in KL as its mayor. Incompetence is always rewarded by BN as long as the profits go to their cronies. On another note, can you get MPSJ to stop the illegal parking along the SJMC road (since Sime Darby is another 'protected' animal, they seem to get away with all kinds of encroachments)

Good job, YB... I am working nearby that area and it has been an eyesore for years. Really like a zoo for white elephants.

Keep up the great work. Society needs more selfless, dedicated people like you.

Dear Hannah,

I hope you can enlightened us with the timeline of the project. When is the clearing going to be complete and when is the planting of trees going to begin? Finally, when is the completion date and what is the outcome going to be?

Cheers!

YB Hannah. It's a right move to demolish the eyesore Millenium Park which benefits nobody except those guys under the previous MPSJ and developer who constructed it. They wasted our annual assessment money paid to MPSJ. I suggest you monitor any random development and make sure no similar white elephant projects ever undertaken in Subang Jaya.
