Keeping the faith

My physical body is tired but my mind is finding it hard to rest. This is another one of those heartfelt postings for my supporters and friends only (those who want to criticise me for ranting out may stop reading now lest you accuse me of complaining).

It's way past midnight and my husband is sitting in front of his laptop listening to Fields Of Gold. It's calming. I've had a tough day, a stressful one. Encountered some nasty people. To be honest, I frequently ask myself, how long more do I have to endure politics? I despise politicking. I believe in grace. I hate corruption. I love mercy. I am often confused as to how I should feel managing people, managing difficult people.

I pray more young people, more clean people would rise to the call to serve the nation. I want to make changes. Making changes in very trying circumstances can exhaust you. I want to finish my race and complete the task God has given to me - to serve the people of Subang Jaya, to prove to our nation that not all politicians are corrupt and to bear witness that righteousness can indeed exalt a nation.

May I look back to this posting someday and say with all conviction : I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

This particular scripture reminds me of Haris Ibrahim’s recent posting. Thinking of you Haris, as you mourn the passing of your beloved mom. Our condolences to you and your family.

Please keep strong and hang on for another day. The day is coming when a new Malaysia will be born - this is true!

What we are experiencing now is the birth pangs. When the new Malaysia is born, all this pain will be forgotten, overtaken by joy!

The light will come soon. It would be such a pity for you to just be a one-term rep. Our country needs people like you to restore the culture of integrity and service in government.

Proverbs 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

It will not always be dark!

Respect to you.

Hello Hannah,
It sound familiar one year ago when you started facing all kinds of problems.
See, one year gone by and you just have to go on.
like running marathon, at some stage you feel so pain, can not breath, but if you stay on keep running, suddenly you have the extra strength from no where, you just speed right to the end!
Keep going.

YB Yeoh,

We know its tough and tiring but hang on there. You must know by now a majority of the rakyat are standing beside and behind you all the way.

Do not give up now. We will fight, continue to fight and fight till we see change.

May GOD bless you and give you the strength to shoulder on.

As per Mother Teresa,

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

All the best YB Hannah Yeoh

Dear Hannah,

You would not be fighting the political battle alone. The whole rakyat is with you especially those in Subabg Jaya. With the grace of god, you will find your path towards a more just, fair , free of corruption , transparent and free Malaysia is all worth the while.

The arrogant and big bully BN/UMNO is putting obstacles to all opposition projects but the determination to ensure a more propsperous Malaysia will prevail.

You are the light for many Malaysians to fight the evil wrongdoings within the BN system and hopefully PR government will succeed in wresting the Federal govt.

Depend on the Lord for strength to carry on.
Matthew 11:
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Isaiah 40:
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Phillipians 4:10-13
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Your enemies are not the opposition or people.
Ephesians 6:
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Thank you for putting the people's interest at heart
Mark 10:
42 But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 43 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Hang in there!
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

God bless you as you continue to labour for Him.

Dear Hannah,

Just ingore those people, if
you do not need to face them

When we really look around us,
we will notice that good people are really more than bad people.
So, we must always tend to stay
together with good people,
so that we will have lot more
positive energy force around us.

People who treat us badly
will not feel anything, after
they go back and sleep. However,
we will feel very sad and
frustating by the time we sleep,
because we always try our best
in treating others well, and
we will wonder why certain
people will treat us in such
a bad way.

So, you really got to try
your best in getting used in
all these, and try not to let
all these bother you by the
time you sleep.

I do not know what has actually
happened, but I think if some
people simply raise voice in
front of you, asking you why
you do not do this and that, or
asking you to do this and that
in rude manner, then those people
really do not know about how
to respect each other.

There is no way which you can
easily liase with such people,
as they are usually very

So again, just always remember
that there are more good people
around you. Just look at the
feedbacks here and you can
notice that.

No matter what you face, as long
as you still have the desire
in serving this community, we
will sure vote for you in the
next election.

Your kind of job is truely not
easy to do. Those who always
raise voice in front of you,
asking you to do this and that,
or asking you not to do this and
that, they should go back to
kindergarten to learn what
"Respect" really is!

All the best.

Hi Hannah,

Keep up the good work. Hard work and persistence will eventually pay off. Don't get discouraged by those mean people. You're a great role model for all the kids out there. Trust me, as long you keep this up, you will never lose the rakyats votes. You will make a great MP as well one day. I hope you can also get some feedback from your blog.

Bless you.

Dear YB Hannah,

You do not know how much respect we have for you for your genuine conviction to want to bring some sense of righteousness to the way our country is being run.

It would have gone to the dogs if not for the strong desire for change by the people. You stood up and made it count for us - us ordinary people. You have done it with all your might and will and on our behalf.

While we emphatise with the fact that you are mentally drained and tired, we know that you have made the difference.

Rome was not built in a day and so using the same logic, we should not expect you to bring the change overnight. If it is of any consolation to you, at least your presence have slowed it (the rot) down significantly.

We can only tell you that we truly support all the things you are doing and we will continue to pray for your health and your will to continue to soldier on and not let such negative forces (and there are plenty and most are evil) bring you down.

And you do have your number 1 supporter, your husand, Ram.

So best wishes YB. Hang in there. You are doing just fine!

Best Regards,

J Khoo

Dear Hannah,
I'm proud to say that I came from the same secondary school as you did. I am proud to tell my friends in Subang we chose to be different for once.

The benchmark of good leadership is your performance during times of hardship. Trials and tribulations make ordinary people legends.

We are judged not by how well we coped with torrid times and not how well we pleased everyone. I've grown to learn that the good in men are often disguised, and to uncover it takes some 'scrubbing'. The 'nasty' people you meet are only misled and in need of help. desperation is a terrible thing, it makes us succumb to the meanest of means.

Hang in there:) You've done a great Job so far

In my book, you are doing a heck of a job.
